Privacy Policy

Last updated June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Esko ("Esko", "Esko Tech", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use our software service for time tracking, worker and client management, invoicing and reporting, and related kiosk and admin applications (the "Service").

1. Who we are

Esko provides the Service to organizations ("customers"). For most data that customers enter about their own workers, clients and children, the customer is the controller of that information and Esko processes it on the customer's behalf. For questions about this policy, contact [email protected].

2. Information we collect

3. How we use information

4. Cookies & local storage

The Service uses cookies and browser local storage that are necessary for it to function — for example, to keep you signed in (a session token stored in your browser) and to recognize devices you've used before so we can alert you to sign-ins from new devices. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Email communications

We send only transactional, service-related emails — for example: welcome and set-password messages, password resets, worker/manager invitations, new-device sign-in alerts, device-status alerts, and confirmations of access requests. We do not send marketing emails. You can turn off new-device sign-in alerts for your login in Settings → Security.

6. Billing & payment information

Esko stores the billing and payment records that customers enter to run their own businesses. Esko does not process card payments and is not a payment processor; we do not collect card or bank details to charge your clients on your behalf.

7. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We share information only:

8. Data retention

We retain Customer Data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. You may request export or deletion of your data by contacting [email protected].

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption of data in transit and access controls that separate each customer's data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to obtain a copy of it. Customers can manage much of their data directly in the Service; for other requests, contact [email protected]. If the request concerns data a customer entered about an individual, we will refer the request to that customer.

11. Children's information

The Service is used by organizations such as daycares that may enter information about children in their care. That information is provided and controlled by the customer, who is responsible for obtaining any parental or guardian consents required by law. Esko processes such information solely to provide the Service to the customer and does not use it for any other purpose. The Service is intended for use by businesses and their authorized staff, not directly by children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may, from time to time, change this Privacy Policy with or without notice. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. If you have any questions regarding this Privacy Policy, you may email us at [email protected].
